Mod art sculpture recycled frame and wood pieces by cpstudios

Mixed media recycled mosaic by ShawnDuBois

Hello fun artsy people. This week for favorite Friday artists I found some really great artists using recycled pieces in their art.

The art of using discarded pieces in art has just fascinated me. I have dabbled in it myself with my own art and the art class with the kids and found it to be quite amazing.
Check out the artists sites above. Hope you enjoy them as much as I do!

Paper Toy Art Project

Hello fun, artsy people. Didn't know if you knew about paper toys but I just wanted to share some very fun and interesting paper toy sites I found online. My son and I have had lots of fun making them over the last few years. Most of the paper toys are free printable's. They range from easy to difficult . They make great presents and gift toppers. They also make a great activity to make at your kids birthday party.
I found that using the clear tac fabric glue works best when putting them together because it dry's very fast.  I do warn you though they can be quite addicting and once you start making them you don't want to stop.  Check out the list below for paper toy sites.

Here is a list of sites to visit for paper toys. ENJOY!

Letter Initial Drawing Art Project

I had the kids do a fun drawing project last week. They cut out there initials in cardboard and then traced the initials in different colors spacing about 1/4" apart. I encouraged the the kids to draw them in different directions. Some drew them closer together. And some drew them in opposite directions. They really had fun with it. Enjoy!
Looking for interesting things for your kids to do this summer check out art projects at Coolstuffartgallery
