A Bit About My Summer

Welcome!

First I would like to say thank you for all the great people I have meet on twitter, the wonderful, inspiring comments left on my blog, regular followers and new visitors...................

I started this blog a few months ago and have really enjoyed sharing the kids art projects, my favorite Friday artists, fun art works and some of my personel happening photos with you. ...................

I have taken the summer off on having the art class with the kids which gives me time to regroup with new art ideas, reorganize my art studio and time to spend with my family. We have friends of our send there two girls every summer to hang with us for a few weeks. We all look forward to spending time with them. If the girls are not at the barn with the horses then there in my art studio, or on the Wii with my son. We enjoy taking them places and having fun....................

Some of our adventures planned will be roller skating ( a must ), drive in movies in KY, dinner, indoor rock climbing, antiquing, and the lock 4 park down by the Cumberland river where we fish and find lots of driftwood.....................

With the girls here it also gives me a bit of a break from the barn and a bit of time to spend on other things I need to catch up on. Very helpful!!
My regular Monday blog posts will vary with art projects and some adventures from our summer.

Some of you know we have a miniature horse farm which I love but we have decided to cut way back on the amount of horses we have so it will be a lot more manageable and give me more time to start a new adventure......................

I use to have a mid century shop in Florida. My art is a passion for me and so is vintage, so I am in the process now of getting a etsy shop up and running. I will tweet when it's up and going.

Have you ever heard of the worlds longest yard sale. I always thought it was like 5 - 6 hours from me but realized it's not. It goes from Gadsden, Alabama up RT 127 to Hudson, Michigan. It goes through Crossville Tennessee which is about 1 hour and 40 min from me. It runs from August 4th - 7th. So I asked my niece to go a couple days with me and she said yes. Now the big question, just bring the Durango or pull the trailer to  :-)

Here is there web site for any one who may want to go. http://www.127sale.com/
Oh! The treasures you can find................

Well I hope everyone is having a Great fun, relaxing summer and spending time with family, good friends, pets. Let us know what fun, interesting places or things you may be doing this summer.........

  1. Have a great summer, Christine! I think a lot of us are backing off for the summer! Family is so important, and you just can't get these days back! Blessings for a great adventure, my friend! And I am so darn jealous about you doing the "World's Longest Yard Sale"! I have heard of it, and would love to do it someday!
