Glass Painted Dried Flower Art project

Ever wonder what to do with left over glass.

Do you have extra glass pieces you don't know what to do with. Here is a easy project. Take two pieces of glass the same size and paint or place dried flowers on one. I used one tiny drop of super glue on each flower just to hold the flowers in place. Let glue dry before putting top piece of glass on.

Place second piece of glass on top.

Wrap colored masking tape around the edge of both pieces of glass. I like to work off the edge of the table when i'm taping an edge it just makes it easier..

Once all sides are done you can hang glass back into your frame or leave it frame less, hang or rest your glass art on a mantle or in a window.

Tip of the Day Image Transfer Collage

I have recently started making collage art. I have been incorporating it into my art clocks and wall organizers. I find it very enjoyable. I have been transferring images by spreading gel medium on the image and pasting it to my surface and rolling it with a barer roller to get bubbles out. Let it dry for a couple hours and spray with warm water and loosen the back of the paper with your finger and remove the back of the paper. Image Transferred.

Tip of the day is you can use any type of gel medium as long as there is polymer in it. Spread it with your finger it works better.
Also with this technique if you make a mistake and don't like something you have done just go over it with paint and another paper collage or image transfer..

Have Fun!

Abstract Bead Wire Sculpture Art Project

This was a fun and easy project for the kids. I encouraged the kids to bend the wire into random shapes and to use as many or as little beads as they like and be creative with the coloring of the beads. All the materials were ones I already had on hand. Left over 2 x 4 wood, sculpting wire, wood beads, wood markers.  Have Fun!

( Material list )

Wood base
Drill
Sculpting wire
Wood markers, Sharpies or paint
Acrylic Paint

Drill a hole in the block of wood. Paint wood base and any beads you like. Put one end of the wire in hole and bend to make your design. Once you have your wire where you like it put your beads on. Put glue in both holes and put wire in. I used epoxy glue in holes but you can use E 6000 or Super glue. Give the glue a day before you start moving the beads.

Enjoy!
