Orange Upcycled, Re purposed Table Stand

Another fun piece to re purpose! Sanded it lightly. Painted it with 3 coats of primer and four coats of spray paint sanding in between 1st and 2nd coat. Primed and painted the metal handles.
I love it!

Vintage Atomic Re purposed Table Tray Stand

I found this in my travels. What a fun 50's atomic piece. I up cycled, re purposed it in black and white to go with any decor. Has the original ashtray but would look great with any cool bowl and used as a candy dish. Can be seen here!

Modern Owl Art Clock Collection

I would like to share my new Modern Owl Art Clock Collection I have listed on Etsy. I have recently started working in collage art so most of the owl clocks the materials used are papers, tissue paper or scrapbook papers, paint and ink. As you know I have a passion for making functional art so I will be sharing a few lines of art clocks and art wall organizers over the next month.
Take a stroll to my Etsy shop to see more of my art work. CoolStuffArtGallery

Tip of the Day Image Transfer Collage

I have recently started making collage art. I have been incorporating it into my art clocks and wall organizers. I find it very enjoyable. I have been transferring images by spreading gel medium on the image and pasting it to my surface and rolling it with a barer roller to get bubbles out. Let it dry for a couple hours and spray with warm water and loosen the back of the paper with your finger and remove the back of the paper. Image Transferred.

Tip of the day is you can use any type of gel medium as long as there is polymer in it. Spread it with your finger it works better.
Also with this technique if you make a mistake and don't like something you have done just go over it with paint and another paper collage or image transfer..

Have Fun!

Abstract Bead Wire Sculpture Art Project

This was a fun and easy project for the kids. I encouraged the kids to bend the wire into random shapes and to use as many or as little beads as they like and be creative with the coloring of the beads. All the materials were ones I already had on hand. Left over 2 x 4 wood, sculpting wire, wood beads, wood markers.  Have Fun!

( Material list )

Wood base
Drill
Sculpting wire
Wood markers, Sharpies or paint
Acrylic Paint

Drill a hole in the block of wood. Paint wood base and any beads you like. Put one end of the wire in hole and bend to make your design. Once you have your wire where you like it put your beads on. Put glue in both holes and put wire in. I used epoxy glue in holes but you can use E 6000 or Super glue. Give the glue a day before you start moving the beads.

Enjoy!
